Sony not only is a major producer of consumer electronics but also big in the film industry. Sony under Sony Pictures had the rights to produce and distribute Terminator Salvation. Although Terminator 1 and 2 remain the best Terminator we will ever see - the new Terminator is the first of 3 new Terminator productions. I am a big fan of Arnie and Terminator.

Have you known that Arnold Schwarzenegger was born in Austria? I am from Austria :) He is was the body building World champion and Mister universe in his best days. That has nothing to do with Sony but still Arnie is the Governor of California and acting in a film which Sony Pictures has the rights to distribute.

Bloomberg.com reported on May 27 this week that Moody´s cut Sony´s debt rating. The debt grade was reduced from A3 to A2. A3 is the fourth-lowest of the agency’s 10 investment-grade ratings. As reasons increased competition, slowing demand and strong yen were indicated. All this factors erode Sony´s earnings and decrease their profitability. The reduction affects $18.7 billion in debt - that´s a lot! A reduction in creditworthiness means that it gets harder for Sony to get credits.
